We all know that LEGOS are one of the most popular children’s toys of all time. Orange County families also know that a trip to LEGOLAND California is a great way to spend quality time with the kiddos in a fun, interactive environment. Indeed, it is quite popular to build a weekend around traveling to Carlsbad and spending a couple days frolicking amongst the theme park’s rides and activities, all the while creating a special bond in the process.
Beginning April 5, LEGOLAND will give guests the chance to keep the fun of the park going after it closes its gates for the evening with the opening of the LEGOLAND Hotel. Standing three stories tall, the hotel will surround guests with an intriguing LEGO experience in its public spaces and its 250 guestrooms, all designed to captivate a child’s imagination in a way that only the legendary toy can. Three different kinds of themed rooms — pirate, adventure, or kingdom — are designed to give kids the delightful feeling of being inside of one of the cool creations that they may build themselves at home. Each room features bunk beds and a pull-out trundle bed, two TVs, several LEGO models, and a treasure chest that can be unlocked once a younger guests completes a special in-room treasure hunt activity. Premium rooms will further enhance this ambiance by offering additional LEGO models and decorative touches like themed wallpaper. The fun isn’t just contained to the rooms, either — over 3,500 LEGO models can be found throughout the hotel, including seven animated pieces. A special play area, family-friendly dining options, and an outdoor pool are also available to round out your weekend getaway.
