Chef Zach Scherer has joined forces with Haven Collective Executive Chef/Partner, Greg Daniels, to serve as Executive Sous Chef at Haven Gastropub and Provisions Market in Old Towne Orange. In Chef Zach’s new role, he will be helping to oversee the culinary teams at both restaurants. The public can get a taste of Chef Zach’s culinary talent at Provisions Market, where he has introduced seasonal snacks, toasts, and sandwiches that add an innovative twist to classic deli foods already present on the menu. The new menu items are available during all business hours, in addition to customizable cheese and charcuterie boards which can be complemented with 30 craft beers on tap and more than 400 by the bottle.

“With the new menu items, my goal is to focus on presenting great-tasting dishes that revolve around seasonal and locally sourced ingredients,” explained Chef Zach, who has worked in other notable kitchens in Orange County, including Taco Maria and Playground. “What guests can look forward to in this seemingly straightforward menu is a bit of the unexpected. I’m excited by technique and culinary craftsmanship, and guests can count on interesting components to the dishes that are crafted, cured, or created in house.”
